    2. Hello all my Butcher cousin's, I am going to start looking for earlier people on my list. I was looking for Butchers from 1808 & before. Since I am at a brick wall I will try this, Looking for a Sarah Butcher b 1851 lived in Terre Haute, IN I have a post card written from her to her brother David in the late 1870's. I don't known who she married. I have a picture of her daughter & also of Sarah. She also had sisters & brothers. Her sister Susannah b 1843, m 6 May 1861 to Samuel Butt.(Clay county) IN. Others sisters are Mary b 1838, Amanda b 1845, Margaret b 1847, Louise abt 1849. Brothers are David of course b 1834, Jeremiah b 1837, John b, 1841, & Soloman C. b 1854.. The family lived in Clay, Vigo, Vermillion counties. Their father James M. Butcher & mother Delila Rush are buried somewhere in IN as this is what a letter states from David. Now David married Jane Boone & had William Taylor Butcher b 1854, Ira Edward b 1857, Florence Pearl b 1859, James Matison b may 1861: he died in Chicago, ILL. He was m to a woman names Blanch, George McClelland b 1866, m Mary Nettie Webster. & last Nellie May b 1868 in Cumberland county, ILL ,she maybe married a Keat. This family than moved Harrison County IA. Jane Boone passed away & David remarried to Elizabeth Hoone or Hoon. Their family was John Calren Butcher b 1872, Seymour b 1874 , m Lily Dickinson, Jeremiah b 1875, m Milley Wiley, Cora Ellen b 1877 : m Clarence Purcell, family moved to Payette, OR, Ida Myrtle b 1879, m George W. Witt, David Jr b 1883 d 1952, Sarah Elizabeth(SADIE) b 1887, m J.M. Whiteman may had a son named Delmar maybe living in WY or NE. There was also a post card from Hallie a grandson from WY also.
