The Butchers lived in Louisa, Co. and Muscatine, Co. and probably a few other places I don't know about. I have a marriage date for William H. Butcher and Harriet Manley: m. 31 Aug. 1865 in Johnson Co. Ia. That was his second marriage, if this sounds familiar let me know because I have some more information, but not much. I haven't been able to get past William H. Butcher my gg-grandfather. My other surnames in my research are: Hijink [Hyink], Wild, Adams, Bechtel, Colsch, Swain, Jacobus, Wade, Freeman, and Campbell.
