Hello, My name is Doris Waddell m to Gary , his mother was a Butcher from IA. Her father was Jeremiah Butcher, & his father was David Butcher. I have been studing the Butchers now for 9 yrs. This family came from TN to IN, left in 1860, ILL & on to IA. Near Woodbine, Logan, Mo. Valley & spread from there. I have all of David's descendents, but not all his brothers & sister's families. I am always looking for more branches. David's brother & sisters were: Jeremiah b 1837, Mary 1838, John L. 1841, Susannah b 6 May 1861: she married Sam Butt. Amanda D. 1845, Margaret b 1847, Louise b 1849, Sarah b 1851 She stayed near Terre Haute, IN , Soloman C. b 1854. Their father was James M. Butcher b in Tn 1808, he was a cooper in 1850. By 1860 he was a farmer. Mother was Delila Rush b in VI 1814. David had 13 children : William Taylor b 1854 m Maude M. Warnick, Ira Edward b 1857, Florence Pearl b 1859 m Sye Lake, James Matison b 1861 wife was Blanche: he died in Chicago, George McClelland b 1886m Mary Nettie Webster, Nellie May b 1868 m a Keat. David's wife was Jane Boone. 2nd wife was Elizabeth Hoone. Their children were John Calren b 1872, Seymour b 1874, Jeremiah 1875, Cora Ellen 1877 m Clarence Purcell moved to WA, Ida Myrtle 1879 m George W. Witt, David Jr. b 1883: died 1952, Sarah E. b 1887 she married a Whitman & moved to NE. Does any of this sound Familar. Thanks Cuzs Doris
