Sarah LOVE in Decatur Co, INDIANA 5 sons. m 1840 2. Sadona (HANCOCK) Brown, widow, in Bartholomew Co, INDIANA My great-grandfather, John Bryant Butcher (b 1843 Greenburg, IN-d 1919 Kokomo, IN) and 3 more sons. They moved to Kokomo, Howard Co, IN around 1850 and farmed 800 acres for the next 50 years. Any of that lineage out there? Alicia in Florida

Alicia, If you get any response on your query about your Wm. Butcher's son William Butcher who married (1) Deborah Jane Ray and was in the 1860 census still in Decatur Co IN with children Samuel and Hannah I hope you will let me know. I have never had a clue as to what happened to the two children after that census. Just that you thought they all moved to Howard Co. The Deborah Jane Ray Butcher was in the Mortality Schedule for 1860 and it said she died of ague. Deborah was the youngest sister of my GrGrandfather James Harvey Ray. Marian
