He settled in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania and purchased land in Bucks County in 1690. "Huguenots came in to Bucks County as early as 1738 and, on the banks of the Delaware, the Bessonet from Dauphine, France, settled along with numerous other Huguenot families."
