To Butcher researchers: I am new to this list and would like to know if anyone has Sarah Harrison Butcher in their data base. Sarah Harrison Butcher was born in VA, 1800-01; and married Joshua Owen (b. NC, 1799 or 1800; d. Hickory Co., MO, after 1860) on or about 1824 in "Calhoun, TN" Prior to 1830 they were already in Gasconade Co., MO where they are shown in the 1830 census. Their children were William H. (b. TN, 1824 or 1825); James B. (b. MO, 1831 or 1832); Andrew J. (b. 1832 or 1833); Manning Burks (b. 1835); Sarah A. (b. 1837 or 1838); Simeon. (b. 1843 or 1844); Salina M. (b. 1843 or 1844); and Nancy R. (b. 1848 or 1849). All except the first child were born in Missouri. Even with every effort, I have been unable to identify Sarah Harrison (Butcher) Owen's siblings and parentage, nor those of Joshua Owen, her husband.
