His son, William was born 1750 in Prince William Cty, Va and died 02 Apr 1800 in Whitethorn Creek, Pittsylvania Cty, Va. He served on the payroll of Charles West's company from 1 Feb to 1 March 1777. This information is photostatted in the Virginia State Library and Archives (WD 80,1) He is reported to be on the DAR records. I have quite a bit of information on his descendants from various sources. I am wondering if his father, John was the older brother of Samuel, Jr. They both lived in Loudon Cty, Va. at about the same time. Nora Crauthers --part1_13.3c95d51.2625f4d6_boundary--
