Author: scheek4speech Surnames: Bussa, Gifford Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.bussa/76/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Do any Bussa family researchers have information about my 2nd great grandmother Elizabeth Bussa? Census records indicate that she was born in Tennessee in 1832. She married Robert A. Gifford in Alcorn County, MS, on 26 Feb 1860. They lived in Prentiss County, MS, and spent some time in Arkansas. I believe she is buried in Fairview Cemetery in Baxter County, Arkansas. It is very hard to trace her Bussa line. Some have told me that she might have been born to a possible first early marriage of the Prussian immigrant William Fredrick Bussa. I can not find that he had a first marriage, so I am back at square one. Can someone please help me? Thank you in advance! I did find the cause of death for Robert A. Gifford's first wife, Albina Brown Gifford. She died in childbirth as she was attempting to deliver twins. Than you again for trying to help me find out more about my 3rd grandmother, Elizabeth Bussa Gifford. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. He and Martha's oldest son was born in 1847 and Fredrick was around 32 at that time. Very difficult to research him as he was an immigrant and legend has him being a stowaway. I have not been able to find any immigration documents on him. I did speak with Honey Bussa several years ago and she knew the story about his arrival in the U.S. but didn't mention anything about another family. Wish I could help more; keep us posted on anything you might find to link him to your family. I will be on the lookout and let you know if I find anything. Good hunting!!! Friedrich Wilhelm Bussie(Busse) was my grand-father, Henry Bussie, my father. Fredrick Krohn was my great grandfather, who was the father of Delia, wife of Fr.Wm. Bussie. I have a lot of info on the Bussie's. What I interested in and you may be able to answer, is this... I think Fred Krohn is buried in Creston, WA and Minnie buried in Spokane, WA. We need to get together and share info. Am I right in assuming Homer's daughter Jan may be the person working on this? 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Bussa, Gabriele, Gabrile, Paldino, Pardino Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZBH.2ACEB/42 Message Board Post: I am searching for any information on a Mike Bussa that may have lived in Clay County MN or St. Louis County MN. Most likely born around the turn of the century or early 20th century. My great grandmother was born Catterina Gabriele in San Cosmo, Albanese, Calabria in Italy. She married Biagio Paldino in Italy and they had a few children and immagrated to the US. When they got here, their names were changed: Catterina Gabriele Paldino = Catherine Pardino Biagio Paldino = Biaso Pardino. Catterina had a sister that lived here in MN that she had a falling out with and didn't speak to. We don't know what her name was. We know she married a "Mr. Bussa" and they had a child named Mike or Michael Bussa. They lived (I believe) in Clay and St. Louis counties in MN (Dilworth/Moorhead in Clay County and Duluth possibly in St. Louis County) Any information of these people or their descedndants would be MORE than helpful. I've got a Family Tree on Ancestry.com Thanks. Kalina Bourdeau saluki_dianthus@yahoo.com
