Elizabeth (Bushman) Taylor was born in 1783*. She was married to Adam Taylor who died in 1824** after which two of their minor children, Jacob and Catherine, were appointed guardians. Elizabeth was listed in Bedford in the 1850 and 1870 census living with her adult daughter Margaret (Taylor) Anderson. Elizabeth's 1873 grave marker states she was the wife of AdamTaylor (his burial place is not known); he is the likely brother of Jacob Taylor who married Susanna Bushman. Elizabeth is buried in the Stone Church Cemetery. She was Susanna's older sister. The 1884 History of Bedford states Jacob Taylor married Susan Bushman. Susan/Susanna was born in 1789* and was listed in Napier in the 1840 as head of household (Jacob Taylor having died in 1833), and again in 1850 (living with adult son Henry). Susanna died in 1878*** and her death record corresponds with her baptismal record birthdate. Like her sister Elizabeth, Susanna is also buried in the Stone Church Cemetery. Her husband Jacob Taylor is buried in Schellsburg. The children of Jacob and Susanna Taylor mentioned in the 1884 History (and in Jacob's 1834 probate records) do not include a Margaret. Margaret was the daughter of Elizabeth (Bushman) and Adam Taylor.
