These are not my relatives but they are mentioned in the letter. The letter is from St. Paul, Ark. "Tom Morgan and Lish Russell raided Bill Bushman's place two weeks ago and took Troy and Bill to Ozark. Turned Troy loose and stuck Bill for $100.00 and costs. Found 'hooch' buried in the garden - I am told" The letter is signed by Chas D Cook (not sure about the Chas--probably for Charles). Mr. Cook mentions he is soon leaving the area but apparently was arranging for a real estate deal with my grandfather (Ed Mize) and uncle (Hardin White). Pat in Oklahoma

Bushman? My grandmother's first cousin, Dorothy B. Jenkins, md a Charles Watts, Jr. in 1903 in Denver. By 1910, she was md to an Edgar C. Bushman in Lincoln, NE. Edgar was a real estate agent & they moved to TX in about 1913 to check out the citrus industry in the Rio Grande Valley. Within a couple of years, they had moved to Houston, having decided not to go further south. Dorothy's family & her aunt's family all moved from Lincoln, NE & they all lived there for the remainder of their lives. "Dodie" & Edgar divorced a few years after their move to TX & she md a local Physician, Dr. Charles B. Harwood. Edgar remarried as well & lived for many years in Beaumont, TX where he was in oil field supply sales. He died in Houston in 1965 & was a widower with no survivors. I have been trying to find his family, which I have traced to Cumberland Co. PA, to see if they might have any info and/or pictures of Edgar & Dodie. I have some pics of her to share with anyone interested.

I posted earlier but had the first name incorrect. Looking for Edgar C. Bushman who moved to TX in about 1915 from Lincoln, NE. He was a real estate agent & was my grandmother's first cousin's 2nd husband. When they got to TX, Dorothy (Jenkins) & Ed divorced & he remarried an "Ida." I found on the Social Security Death Index that Ed died in Jefferson Co, TX in 1965. Any info on this fellow would be appreciated. Have photos that somebody might be interested in. I am new to the list & wish to post my area of interest. My grandmother's first cousin, Dorothy (maybe Dora) Jenkins married a Charles Watts, Jr. in Denver, CO in 1903. Evidently the marriage didn't last long because in the 1910 Lancaster Co, NE census, "Dodie" was married to Edward C. Bushman, a real estate agent. They came to Houston together in about 1915 & were originally intending to go to the Rio Grande Valley of TX but stayed in Houston after learning that the citrus industry wasn't as profitable as they had been led to believe. Ed & Dodie divorced & she then married Dr. Charles B. Harwood, a Houston ENT Physician & Surgeon. There were no children from any of these marriages. DUBUIS in 1941 and she died 1943. She is buried in Park View Cemetery in Peoria. She had a daughter Caroline-by Harry or a possible previous marriage. Her father was John RISIUS and her mother was Henriette. Margueritte was born 26 August 1900. I think there is a possible connection between the families as yours has a Margueritte Henriette and Margueritte also had a sister Magdalena and one other.
