My Great Grandfather was Joseph Bushell born about 1850 or 1849. He married a Jane Cook. He lived in Roscommon. His oldest son was John. He also had Bridget, Ellen, Maryjane and Patrick all born in Roscommon. They arrived in the US in 1879 and then had Annie A, Cecelia and Loretta. Joe's wife dies about 1919. Joe returned to Ireland and died in 1937. Annie A was my grandmother. It was said thet Jane was born Protestant and converted to Catholic. She may have been born in another county.
