Charles was 21 years old when he came to Canada from England. Apparently there was a Gypsy in our great- great grandmother's time on the Bushell side the gypsy took her, and she lived with them, and had a daughter named Caroline. Then (somehow) she was returned to our family or came back, and she was our great grandmother. I suspect the great great grandmother ran away with a gypsy, but the way it was told to me is that she was kidnapped! Actually , I think the way it goes, is that the Gypsy man and our great-great, maybe three greats, grandmother had a baby and named her Caroline, who became our great, maybe2 greats grandmother. Charles married Ethel Ward...Ethel was born in Langishire England, Charles In Bolton, England .Charles had a brother that went out to B.C when they arrived in Canada, and he had a daughter he named Eunice. Charles met Ethel's Father in Rieley's tavern in Sydney Mines,Nova scotia and Ethel's father was telling Charles that he couldn't afford to bring his fmily overfrom England.. so Charles loaned him the money to bring them over and that's how they got over here..and later he and Ethel fell in love and married.
