HI everyone, I'm new to the list. Seems like this surname would be pretty rare - I had not heard of it until I was given this family history info. Can anyone tell me the origins of this surname ?? Specifically, looking for the parents and siblings of Margaret Bushell, she was born abt 1686 , she was 'of ' Billings, Lancashire, England, she married James Harrison in 1707, they had 6 children in Lancashire England. 2 of the children were christened in 'Sutton Prescot', while 4 of the children were christened in 'Prescot St Helens'. 'Prescot St Helens' sounds like a Church to me, while 'Sutton Prescot' sounds like a town.
