His new wife was a 44 year old widdow called Elizabeth Read, and on the marriage certificate it gives her father as Walter Trist, a bricklayer. Despite having quite a large family archive of letters, scrap books and photographs, it was not until a relative got in touch recently and mentioned the name from a will that we were aware of this marriage.
