Their parents were born in Germany. Michael P. Nester, Sr. worked as a manager for Obear-Nester Glass Co. in Kansas City, Jackson, Mo. Michael P. Nester, Sr. and Rosalie “Rose” had at least 2 sons: 1.Michael P. Nester, Jr. was born about 1887 in Illinois and may have died between 1939 and 1940. Michael P. Nester, Jr. worked as a salesman for Firestone Tire Co. in 1920 and then Van Tire Co.; he was a manager for Obear-Nester Glass Co. by 1930. He married (1) Katherine T. Phayer between 1910-1912 and (2) Maynell ___ about 1930. Katherine T. Phayer, daughter of Charles Thomas Phayer and Margaret Bushell, was born 19 April 1891 in Venice, Madison County, Illinois and died 7 Apr 1925 in Kansas City, Jackson, Mo. They lived at 100 Spruce Street, Kansas City, Jackson, Mo. Katherine T. Phayer and Michael P. Nester, Jr. had the following 2 sons: -Kenneth M. Nester born about 1913 in Kansas City, Jackson, Mo. He worked for Obear-Nester Glass Co. starting in 1930. He married Jeraldine ___. He was in the Overland Park, Ks. Directory in 1962 and the Shawnee Mission, Ks. Directory in 1966. -Elmer O. Nester born about 1914. He is never listed in the Kansas City, Mo. directories; may have moved away, possibly to St. Louis, Mo.? 2.Arthur E. Nester born about 1894 in Illinois; died in 1960’s, probably in Kansas City, Mo. Married Margarite ____ by 1930. Margarite was born abt. 1894 and died by late 1970’s. She was born in Mo., her father was born in Washington, D.C. and her mother was born in Canada. Arthur E. Nester worked as a machinist in 1920 for Obear-Nester Glass Co.; he later worked for Turner Mfg. Co., KC Bolt & Nut Co., and Sheffield Steel Co. Arthur E. Nester and Margarite were consistently in the Kansas City, Mo. directories. Arthur E. Nester and Margarite ___ had at least 1 child: -Arthur E. Nester, Jr. born Oct. 1919.
