We know he joined the Prussian military for WWI, but those records were destroyed in WWII. He eventually continued on the U.S. It is believed that Carl was a railroad engineer on the Hamburg - Berlin route, but died in a work-related accident during WWII. We think he was married and had children. His wife's name may have been Frieda. Frieda married and had children. We have very little information on the family in Germany and are seeking information on both ancestors and decendants of Ferdinand and Minna.
