Hello Eileen This is Greenie, John Busch. You are in my section of the woods now. Yes, your Busch surname is probably one of my surnames for the Busch's did originally come from Palatine/Rheinland and then to Hungary and the Banat. I don't have an Arthur Busch in my Tree. Do you any further data on him or his parents? Arthur is an Anglo name and if he was born over there, he would have a different name--possibly! My father, who was born in Banat,Zichydorf, did tell me that some of the Busch family were in Galicia which of course is just north of Hungary/Rumania but had little contact with them in the 1900-1920 time period. WWI you know. So if you have additional data-please pass it to me. Perhaps I can help. John
I don't have an Arthur in my tree, but I thought he may be a descendant of Rudolph who settled in Flint Michigan. Rudolph and my father Andreas arrived in Canada about 1895, some settled in Manitoba and some in the States. My father was 65 when I was born so that explains my direct knowledge of the early 1900's as he told it to me. He was in the Austro Hungarian army in 1895, had served 2 years and had another year to go when his family decided to emigrate to North America. Because he could not get permission to leave the country he stowed away in one of the family trunks.By the way he was born in 1869. I have the family tree back to 1765 when they left the Rhineland.
