My dad was part of the group that came over in 1895 and settled in Manitoba. If you want more information about this group let me know. If you wonder about the dates my dad was 65 when I was born and I am now 74. My dad was born in Galicia, the town was Landestreu and was part of the Austro Hungary Empire. We are all descendant of Jacob Busch who left Rhineland Pfalz (sp) in around 1765 and settled in Galicia in many different town through many generations. There are CD's available that tells a lot. This is a little "funny". Another branch of Jacob's who married in the family felt they had to change their name from Rose to another name because there was just too many Roses in that branch.
