His father was John Joseph Busch, who was born in 1798 and died in 1829. The source of my information comes from an amazing family tree by the Lucier family at www.geocities.com/Heartland/Hills/6658/busch.html. I don't know how careful or complete the tree is, so I guess it's possible John Joseph had a brother. Suggest you contact them for more information. Good luck.
