One of the main persons portrayed in it is Staff Sgt. Daniel Busch, Baraboo, WI. I just wanted to drop you a little note stating that I did receive your mail. I am John Edward Busch and I wish I could help you further in your research. but my Busch's came from the Banat in was once Yugoslavia. My father John Busch immigrated to this country in December/1922. He came from a town named Zichydorf. His father was also named John-Johann Busch. Our family origianally came from the Pfalz/Zaarland in Schwaben. At that time some of the Busch's came to this country and the others received free land and homesteaded in Austria/ Hungary under the Empress Maria Therese of the Austria/Hungarian Empire. Being a Busch, I wanted to give you the idea that there are a lot of Busch's involved in research and to hang in there. With time and patience you will get your answers as I am presently. If I can help you in any way, just give me a mail. John E Busch Palatine, Il. PS Isn't Busch a grand Name?

I am tracing my ggrandfather Henry Busch b.1819 in Alsace, France. Don't know when he came to the USA but he enlisted in Co.G 2nd Regt, Minn. Inf in July 1861 at Ft Snelling, Minn. He was wounded at the Battle of Chickamaiga, Tenn. in 1863. He was married to Sophia Larmer {b.1847 in Prussia} and they were in Rice Co. Minn. by 1867. Because of the age difference I suspect this was a second marriage for him. Their children all born in Rice Co. between 1867 and 1879 were: Julia, Susan, Peter, Frank, & Amelia {my grandmother}. While in Rice Co. Henry worked in a flour mill. In 1882 the family moved to the eastern side of Polk Co. Minn. and Henry died in Red Lake Falls in 1890. Peter later moved to ND and Susan, Sophia, and Amelia moved to Toole Co. MT. If anyone can help me with information on Henry or Sophia please get in touch.
