Hello Sorry I do not know much of my back ground. Although this much I know. My father's side of the family indeed came up through the states and yes maybe pennsylvania. They came to Canada in the 1700's ? as Empire Loyalist, and indeed still have a sward used in the battle of 1812.? Sorry... My maiden name is Ellis. Hope this helps. My BUSCH ancestors,Michael b.1804; Cunigunda b.1912 & Johan (John) b.1837 of Vorbach, Oberpfalz, Bayern, DE left their home bound for St.Marys,PA. Their ship had such storm damage that they put in at Quebec, Canada unable to continue to NYC. Forced to go via river, lake & horse cart they finally reached St.Marys to settle. I hope to find records of them, especially census records after 1870 as well as tax, naturalization & (Catholic) church records. I will appreciate any help! Thank you! Regards, Carl
