I recently read the book Under the influence. It is indeed interesting from an historical and business viewpoint even if one is not named Busch. I still have found nothing further on my great grandfather Henry Busch but am still working on it. (military man, Hesse Germany origin). The web seems fo promising yet anything that I have found has been from other than the web. Seems like the web is excessively money focussed. Dave

It goes all the way back to Adolphus Busch. By reading it, I was able to determine that my father was not connected to him, at least not as far back as any connection to those who came to the US, perhaps and most likely, back in Germany. Adolphus had many children. Anyway, I found it to be a fascinating book which you might enjoy. Good luck.

I am looking for information on Louis G Busch married to Johanna Stefhan. I have that he was born in Hannover, Germany, not sure if this is correct or not and that he died in San Diego California. I also have that he changed his name from Ludwig when he came to the U.S. I would like to know when he came to the US and names of any children he had. I know of one for sure, George James Busch. Any information anyone has would be helpful. The birthday that I have for Louis is January 5, 1842. Again I am not for sure about any of this information as I can't find anything. Thank you, Heather

Hi, We have a Carl Gephart Busch born in Iowa about 1873. We don't have any other information about his family. I know he moved to South Dakota and was married to a Bridget Shanley. They had about 9 kids, one of whom was my husband's father, Raymond Giles Busch. Do you think this could be a match? We know nothing about his parents, brothers or sisters, etc. other than they were German. Thanks, Dale Elaine Busch
