We are researching a Busch family in Montana.The family we are looking for is that of Albert Busch and Edith McMillan. These are my mother's parents. They lived around the Billings area---we have a LOT of stuff on the McMillans, but can't seem to get a decent start on the Busch side. I know that Albert had a half brother named Fred. He also said that he was Dutch--not German. If any of this rings abell, I would appreciate a little help! Thanks for responding---Shirley

First child and son of Christian Busch and Margaretha Berndgen. Christian came over to the US in 1852 (to Springfield, WI, and later to MN). Based on the above information, I am assuming he married Margaretha while still in Germany, and Margaretha immigrated at least 5 years later??? Does anyone have info on her immigration as well as her son Johann. It's confusing to me... perhaps Johann's birthyear should be earlier. Plus, he died awfully young - 29! She married Frank Hughes (b. abt 1865) about 1894, they had 4 children ( I know of); Martin, Olive, Marshall and Theodore. Sophie was 31 when Theodore was born, I assume he was the last child.
