If you have uncovered any information concerning his roots in Germany I would be interested in this information. I found a posting earlier today at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~dvon/Busch.html whish is titled "Descendants of Johann Georg Busch" (I would like to give credit to the author, however, I don't see their name on the printout.) This document does not trace Johann into Germany. I does have some info that differs slightly from that in your posting. It states that Johann died in July of 1779 rather than 1777. It appears this may be based on the date his will was probated, 27 July 1779. The will had been dated 20 Jan 1777. All other attributes agree with your posting. This is certainly the same person. This document covers five generations. The third generation includes my third great grandfather, Jacob Bush, son of Henry Bush and Eva Hoffman. It only notes that Jacob had 12 children, no names given. this branch of the tree is of interest to you, and you do not have it filled I should be able to provide it. Charles E. 3. I am 99 % certain you are in my tree. Jacob left the Rhineland, now Germany in the mid 1700 and set up roots in Landestreu, in Galicia which at that time was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The names you listed are in his tree. Will get back to you later. It also notes his usual residence is/was Langdenburg, which I suspect is in Saskatchewan. You might try the 1911 Canada census to see if he is there. I am very interested in this man as I think he might be the brother of my great grandfather Johann Fredrich Busch who was born in Nowitza, Austria 18 April 1868 to Andreas Busch and A?i?lina Rudolph. The intersting thing is that Johann Fredrich Busch's daughter was living about a block away from William and his daughter Wilhelmina in 1916. I hope that this information helps Judy Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 1. [BUSCH] Francois (Francis) (Frank) Joseph BUSCH
    2. .
    3. Greetings, I am in search of information about the family of Francis (Francois?) J. BUSCH, my great, great grandfather. He was born on February 10, 1821, possibly in the Alsace Lorraine region. He served as a Sgt. in Company G, 16th Massachusetts Infantry during the American Civil War and died on October 3, 1898. He is buried in Milton Mills, NH along with three of his eight known children. Francis (Frank) can be found on the U.S. Census of 1870 & 1880 living in Milton, New Hampshire. He can also be found on the U.S. Census of 1860 in Lowell, MA with a first name of ‘Joseph’ and his last name spelled as “Bush”. Francis (Joseph) and Rose (Rosanna) Farrel (b. Ireland) were married in St. Mary’s Church, Lowell, MA by the Rev. J. T. McDermott on April 11, 1853. On the record of their marriage, Francis’ parents are listed as Joseph & Ann Mary Busch; Rose’s parents are listed as James & Mary Farrel. The children of Francis & Rose were Francis Jr., (b. 1854); Ahart (b. 1855); Mary A. (b.1857); James T. (1859-1932); John A. (b. 1859, my great grandfather); Bridget (1861-1866); Charles W. (1868-1884); & Frederic (b.1870). The children were born in Lowell, Massachusetts or in Milton, New Hampshire. I would to find descendants of the other children of Francis and Rosanna and I would especially like to find Francis' origins in Europe. Next up, the search for Rosanna's birth, entry in the U.S. and burial place. Thanks, Richard Morrison
