(I assume they came from Germany, but maybe not) My great grandfather was Sebastian and he came from near Wiesbaden (Mainz-Kastel) in or around 1851. There is some sort of indirect connection to Adolphus Busch who went to St Louis, but it is way back. The Henry Busch born 1827 in Germany, died in Hensall, Ontario, early in the 1900's, I think, although I was not tracking that. I am interested in Henry Busch, born 1817, to Ulrich Busch, all of Wiesbaden, Germany. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. If that is the case, he came to USA, Buffalo area, I think in 1851 or so, then up to Bruce County in Ontario. According to one message, he might have gone to Hensall, Ontario also. My interest is, when he came overseas, he had August Busch, B 1842 with him, younger brother to Adolphus, (Brewery) and my great grandfather, Sebastian Busch, B:June 12, 1845. Sebastian grew up in the Port Elgin area, married Catherine Bolander in 1871, thence his son Adam, thence his son Earl, and thence me, all in Bruce County, Ontario. Let me know if there is any connection. If so, we might be distantly related. I have been trying to find the connection in Germany, to no avail yet. Sebastian lists his birth place as Baden, which is about 300 K North of Wiesbaden, a huge distance in those days. If you get a chance, let me know where you are at with this search. The first half of that paper appears to be a rewrite of my outline. My best guess is that Georg came from central Rhineland. And I also guess that he spent 2 years as a Penn indentured worker in the Phil. area. He got his Easton land from the Penns for free... My niece, Coleen Cahill Bean, now lives in the area. She is a hospitalist - internal medicine - at the E. Stroudsburg hospital. Cheers, Milt Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. They came from Kuhlhausen, Prussia. I can look up the exact date if you are interested. My great grandfather was John Christoh Busch. I don't think he came at the same time as the rest of his family. He had two sisters who came together. One was Albertina Busch; the other sister, Fredericke, came with her husband and children -- last name Schultz. To my knowledge they did not settle in Indianola, but went on to one of the German settlements. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. We would also like to know where Freda Anderson Busch is buried & date of death for her and John. If one outlived the other, there could be a second marriage. John had a sister in Denmark named Jensine who was the mother of my husband's grandfather, Otto Helmund Hansen Busch. Howard & Judith Busch hobusch@camalott.com
Two members of my husband's Danish family settled for awhile in Williamson Co., TX. John Bush/Busch b.1871 & Freda (Anderson) had two daughters named Lillian b.1898 & Ebba b. 1900. We have a photo believed to be Ebba. The census shows both girls born in TX. Freda was born in Sweden. John appears to be buried in Hutto with no dates on the stone. We would like to find marriages (if any) for Lillian & Ebba. Howard's direct ancestor is Otto Helmund Hansen Busch, a nephew of the abovementioned John Busch. He lived with John for awhile after coming to Texas. We do have some information on ancestors in Denmark. Please write to our private address as well as reply to the list, we are not subscibers as yet since searching the archives turned up nothing in Texas. Howard & Judith Busch hobusch@camalott.com
