Has anyone information on the William Busby of South Carolina being killed because he was a Loyalist? That would be an interesting story. We do know there was more than one Miles Busby and the name went across several families. We feel that William the first Busby in South Carolina and Benjamin were close fraternal relatives. Ie Probably brothers but maybe first cousins. Does anyone else connect to this family? My ggggrandfather was a John Buzbee of Old Ninety Six District, SC. I have his will dated 1778. His wife was Jane and his eight children were ; John, Jesse, Jacob, Moses, Benjamin, Mary, Stephen and Jane. My line is thru Jacob b.1760-62 I'm interested in John's father William Buzbee Sr. Which William was murdered for being a British sympathizer?? Also my Miles was the son of William II (b.ca,1750?) William II died before 1795 and I believe his wife's name was Elizabeth. My records show Benjamin (d 1815) had a son Miles (b.1760-65). In 1810 M. Busbey was living in Orangeburg Co.,S.C. living with a wife? ( age 26-45), 2 sons ( 0-10); 2 sons(10-16) ; 1 son (16-26) and a daughter ((10-16) ..My family came from S. C. to Alabama, to Arkansas and my family to OK. [email protected]
