    1. [Busbee Busby] Re: Ella (Hodges) Lawson -Lost Greatgrandmother
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Lawson, Hodges, Classification: Census Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/SEH.2ACIB/1159.1 Message Board Post: I found Ella's name spelled differently, which might matter: >From LDS 1880 Census, Wheatley, St. Francis, AR Wainright LAWSON   Self   M   Male   W   43   GA   Farmer   GA   GA   Eliza LAWSON   Wife   M   Female   W   29   MS   Keeping House   AL   AR   James LAWSON   Son   S   Male   W   8   MS      GA   MS   Robert LAWSON   Son   S   Male   W   3   MS      GA   MS  Nearby households: Pleasant Lawson (male) and family David Lawson and wife William Lawson and family, including a daughter Ella 1870 Como P.O., Panola, MS Census (very messy handwriting): Winright Lawson, 37, Laborer at _?__Mill, Ga. Elize, 18, Keeping House, Mip. I didn't find anything conclusive about "Ella," but the only female Hodges child in Panola, MS that's anywhere near the right age is E.A. Hodges, 7, born MS, in the household of J.A. Hodges (looks to me like I. A., but the transcriptionist says J.A.) You might try looking at that household more closely. Also, I searched "Elizabeth" and "Eliza" Hodges, but not Elize, Elise, Liza, etc. Also read the posting called "Lawsons of Wilkes Co, GA" on the Lawson rootsweb message board. It talks about Winright Lawson along with David, William, and Pleasant (the names of the people who live near Wainright in AR in 1880). There are a few other sites that show "Winright Lawson" and "Pleasant Lawson" as names that were passed down. Please post what you find on the internet somewhere so other people are not doing redundant research.
