    3. Carolyn, Busbyville in Houston County is where my cousin, Sandra Riner and I grew up. We believe it was named for Nathan Busby, who was probably a cousin to William Reese Busby of Houston County. Busbyville is about the same place as Centerville, Georgia is on the map today. It may have started out as Captain Busby's district and several Busbys lived in the general area, which covered three counties: Houston, Bibb and Crawford County.
