My gr-grandfather James Meredith Busby b 1860 Fayette Co., Tx sang and played guitar and piano. He also gave music lessons in his later life. We aren't sure about the early part of his life. We have an account of from one of his grand-daughters of him teaching her to sing a hymn called "Meet Mother In The Skies" when her mother died. Delia was very young but remembered it well into her 80's.
