AOL addresses are bouncing. This is a consequence of RootsWeb changing its IP address on Tuesday. The new address must propagate through all the mail delivery systems used by various Internet Service Providers, so there will have been a gap in delivery under any circumstances. RootsWeb is sometimes considered a spammer because of the large number of e-mails it delivers, and its IP address gets "blacklisted." The staff works with various ISPs to "whitelist" RootsWeb, but it hasn't succeeded in getting everyone on board with the new IP address. This includes AOL as well as a number of other ISPs. To try and keep people on the lists, I have the number of allowable bounces as high as I can. The MyDoom virus is adding to the complications by clogging mail servers, too. Anyone can contact me on [email protected], if they need assistance. Regards, Gaila
