About the musical Busbys: My maternal grandmother, Beulah Busby Thrasher (born in Columbia, SC, died in Bienville Parish, LA), played piano and organ. My mother who played piano, organ, mandolin and guitar also wrote music and poetry and was a gifted artist. ALL of this skipped me but several of my children and grandchildren are musically and artistically gifted. I love the ways the "genes" continue.
