My cousin has just ordered the kit to have his DNA tested, it would be interesting to see if your dad and he match. Has anyone come across the name Cumbest or Combess in their Busby research? In 1850, Macon co., Ga. Nimrod is living next to Sampson, and in Nimrod's household is a Catherine Cumbest 25, with children Mahan 3, Maranda 6 and Mary 1. I haven't been able to find her after 1850, is it possible that she was a Busby that married a Cumbest and she remarried? My grandmother was Marianna Cumbest who married Jeff Busby in 1888 in Thomas co., Ga.
