(She was named for her grandmother, Marilda Zorada Twitchell Busby). My grandfather Michael, Zorada's bro, had a good singing voice. Their sib, William, too. I don't know that they played instruments, too long ago. But my family plays a variety, piano, violin, accordion, wind instruments. Some of my Busby descendant cousins are also musical. I enjoy the exchanges so much. I wish I could make the connection to Sher'od (Sherwood) Busby from SC just after the Revolutionary War. That name has been handed down, so I am sure there is a connection. My sister, Linda has written lyrics, nothing published, for years. I think it is a form of creativity for her. And Sandra probably won't brag, but her Granddaughter, has a wonderful voice and could end up being an opera singer. If I sing, people have been known to ask me what I did with the money my Mother gave me for music lessons. I would love to be able to carry a tune, but I don't sing flat....more like I sing sharp. I think Sherwood goes back to William of South Carolina...possible brother or cousin of Benjamin Senior?
