Dave, The only one I have anything on is John b. 1814 in VA or W.VA listed on St. Tammany Parish LA 1840 and 1850 Census. He is my great grandfather. He was John Hamilton Busbey. I am trying to prove that his parents were Esther Shinn (A Quaker dismissed from the Church) and Samuel Busbey. Samuel died about 1816 in Va or WVA and Esther remarried twice. I can't figure out how or when John migrated to LA or how or where he met and married Mary Anna Miller, who was born in Switzerland in 1824. John moved to Caddo Parish, after the 1850 Census where he died in 1854. Edwina, Also in Washington Parish, on the 1820 census, was a "Widow Busbee." I think Washington Par. split off from St. Tammany shortly before 1820. Any idea who Widow Busbee is?
