Busby was my grandmother. She was born about 1899, but I do not know where. She married Walter L. Long in 1915 in Caddo County OK. After Walter was killed in a hunting accident, she married my grandfather (Walter's brother, Floyd D.). She died in 1943 in Caddo County. ..." Mary L Long's 1930 census data indicates that she and her parents were all born in TX. (1930 Census, Oklahoma Caddo Abilene). In the 1920 census (Oklahoma Caddo SouthCement), Walter LONG and wife Mary L. appear on page 5B, and a James BUSBY (born c1864 TX) and wife Mary E. (born c1863 AR) appear on the next page (6A). In 1920 there is also a William H. BUSBY household in SouthCement. William H. registered for the WWI draft in Caddo County. Going back to 1910: 1910 United States Federal Census > Oklahoma > Stephens > Brown > District 230 BUSBY, James H., head, 48, married once/22 years, born TX, parents born TX, Farmer/General Farm, Employer Embley, wife, 48, married once/22 years, bore 5 children/3 living, born AR, father MO, mother TN William, son, 14, single, born OK, home farm, wage-earner Mary, daughter, 11, born TX This is not my family, and I have no further information.
