BUSBY, SR. Passed away March 12, 2008. He was born March 13, 1918 to Joseph and Barbara Busby in Portland, Maine with five brothers and three sisters. He attended parochial schools and was a breaststroke champion and held the state record for decades. He served in WWII in the Seabee Division of the United States Navy. He married Eugenia Ziegler in 1947 and raised three children in Panorama City. He worked for the City of Los Angeles from 1951 to 1980, as an Electrician Foreman. John was a founding parishioner of St. Genevieve Church. He is survived by two sisters, Mary Hanon and Barbara Ann Busby; one brother, Thomas; three children, Carol, John Jr. and Kris Callison and husband Richard; grandchildren, Jody Teal and husband Julius, Jim and Melissa Strother, Katie, David, Amy and Nichole Callison; and great-grandchildren, Brandon, Juliynne and Christian Teal.
