Yes, my Busbys came from South Caroline prior to arriving in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. They lived in Richland and Fairfield Cos., South Carolina prior to moving to Louisiana. I suspect the Busby ancestors came from Virginia originally but have no proof of that. My maternal grandmother was Beulah Inez Busby who married William Henry Thrasher in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. She was born in Columbia, South Carolina and came to Louisiana as a small child when her parents migrated from Fairfield County.
