We only know he was dark with gray eyes. His father is Ambers Busby. We do have theories on this Black Dutch descent. One was that Clint was German or had German in his line and after the Hitler war he refused to be called German. The other is that he is Black Foot Indian and some sort of white nationality mix. Indian's still had trouble in the South including getting land, so being dark was a problem. He called himself Black Dutch. Many of the Indian's hid behind this nationality claim so that they would be considered white. We do know he and his wife Lucy had pretty much their own language and my mother and sisters stayed there pretty much most of the time while their father worked. No one could understand what they were saying because they picked up this very strong accent. We still use some of the words today: Guthy or Guthie for cat. If this word is a clue or a link to any one nationality it would b! e helpful. My mother can't seem to remember any more off hand until it just comes natural to use. I strongly feel they had some sort of Indian background. They were hunters and traders and preferred to live in the woods-not very social. From this line we were all told we have from this Busby line: Black Foot Indian, Mohawk or Choctow (which is a form of small Indians connected to Cherokee) and some sort of hillbilly-possibly German or Scottish. My mother spoke of some of the Scottish foods her grandma Lucy would make. Lucy was a Campbell which we still don't know a whole lot about this line either. My mom just said they were definately different. We don't know Ambers full name, but he is my brick wall and I would do anything to find out more about him. Thank you for your inquiry and it really sheds light on more possibilites to Clinton's unusual nationality claim. In fact it is the only thing anyone knows about him.
