I dont have an ambrose on my list not to say.. but whos to say.. i did a search for blacks in dutch west indies thats how i found her post post. I am a descendant of black dutch with the surname Busby. i family members left the caribbean as early as 1840's . I believe two went to New York, others i can not account for. I have records of busby in the caribbean as far back as 1780's. slavery ended in 1840's in st.Eustatis.
