You mentioned in your post about your Busby line the name Ambers. My great Grandfather's name was Louis Ambers Busby and his father was John Ambers Busby. A lot of things in your post seem familiar to me, especially the part about Black Dutch heritage. John Ambers Busby's father was a John Busby and for me he is my brick wall. My Busby lineage ends in Arkansas, but comes also from Missouri and Kentucky before that. I also believe that some of my Busby's may have also come from Texas, but I can't make a connection. I have my GGF's death cert. and he died in St Louis, MO in May 1936 so there is no Social Security record. He was born in June 1863 supposedly in Kentucky according to his death cert. His wife's name was Jannie Hamilton from Florida. JAB's parents are listed on his death cert., but his mother's first name is illegible and her maiden name is unknown. The Ambers name is intriguing, unique and I have found it no where else except your post. If you think we have a connection, please write back to me at my private email address: reconair@comcast.net. We must talk. Thanks, Louis Scott Busby Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
