My Father, Richard Buzbee, has published updates to his Buzbee/Busby genealogy series. He writes: ------ I have organized somewhat the information gathered or sent to me in the past 2 years for the family history volumes. I haven't gone back into the online books to expand them, but have rewritten some pages (into 3 or 5-page additions), and put the other information into single pages or paragraphs for later incorporation. Note that New Page 262 is R-Rated because of graphic description in the South Carolina Gazette, 1760, of the Cherokee war in which 5 Busbys were involved directly. And there's more on the William Busby saga, with extracts from my research via microfilm of South Carolina newspapers 1775-1782. (Earlier, I had sent over similar piece about extracts from S. C. newspaper of 1760). Nothing specific about the hanging of William by the patriots, ca. 1780, but I found the newspaper's changing editorial view fascinating, comparing Charleston prior to the British capture, and after the British capture.....especially the open letters posted by William's fellow Royalists in the midst of the Revolution. ------ The full series can be found here: http://batbox.org/books With the updates here: http://batbox.org/books/Book1Additions Jim Buzbee
