I am researching a Busby Family in Shelby County, AL. I have a Louisa Busby who married Andrew Jackson Roach, her parents are believed to be John A. Busby and Rebecca Jones. Other Children of John and Rebecca are noted as being: Keziah (also spelled Kissiah or Kezziah), Mary, Minerva, Mandred (although my father believes it is Maynard), Rebecca and Martha. (I believe there was also a John A. Busby, Jr.) John is believed to be the son of Meredith (also spelled Meriday, Maraday and Meredit) Busby from TN. Meredith is supposedly the son of Needham Busby of SC. The only other children I have for Needham are Elizabeth and Catherine. My search on this family is new, as I just found the information for my Louisa's parents, which were John A. Busby and Unknown Jones for years. Look forward to communicating with others on this line.
