Still hoping someone receiving this list will recognize my lost Busby. The spelling could be one of the variations for Busby. Looking for a Rebecca Busby, birthrate unknown. Probably from around Thomas County, Ga or possibly Limestone/Freestone County area of Texas. She was suppose to be the 2nd wife of William W. Groover, marrying him sometime after 1852 when William's 1st wife, Elizabeth Bird Heard, died. William and Rebecca had a daughter, Martha Kyle "Mattie" Groover in 1855, most likely in Cotton Gin, Texas in Freestone County. William is assumed to have married a 3rd time to my gg grandmother Banks. I do not know her given name. Unsure what happened to Rebecca after 1855, death/divorce/etc? There is a possibility that Busby may not have been her maiden name; perhaps she had been married to a Busby in the past? In an earlier message, someone (I can't remember who) stated they had a book of Busbys and offered to do lookups. Hopefully that person will be willing to look in her book for my Rebecca and will contact me. Thanks for ANY help the Busby rootslist can provide. Paula Dunklin
