Dorothy, You made my day. Your Steven Busby is my gg-grandfather. I have a Rev. Steven Busby (although I didn't know the faith), born abt. 1817 in S. Carolina. I didn't know parents names until now. He married Margret, born abt. 1822 in S. Carolina. They were in Grant Co. Arkansas by 1852. I have the 1870 Census for Steven and family. By that time, I know they had at least 9 children: Levi, Rachael, Louisa, Vanda/y, Mary Clara, Frankie (M), Nancy, Francis, Margret. I am a descendent of Mary Clara Busby, younger sister of Rachael. Mary Clara married John Henry Hobby. They had 9 children of their own. One of their sons, Gilbert Calvin Hobby was my grandfather. My grandfather and my grandmother, Bessie, is also buried at McPherson Cemetery in Saline. I have been there a few times, but I never knew that Steven Busby was buried there. I would love to hear from you and share what info I have. I don't have much on Steven's ancestors but I have quite a list on the descendents of Mary Clara.
