Still haven't found my elusive Edwin Stanton BUSBY, b (guesstimate) around1848, location, state unknown; parents unknown. He shows up in Archer Twp., Harrison Co., OH on an 6 Nov 1868 birth record as being the father of a son (Harry HALL); the mother is Eliza J. HALL. Apparently, he wasn't around when the baby was born, as he got married to Augusta GOUDY on 2 Sept 1868, Jefferson Co., OH. Edwin, who went by Stanton, and Augusta had a son, William Chandler BUSBY, born in 1870, Bergholz, Jefferson Co., OH. Shortly after William C. was born, (while Augusta was still in bed following childbirth), the couple got in a fight; Augusta's mother (Delila POTTS GOUDY) walked into the bedroom and found Stanton shaking the bed with mother and son in it. She told him to get out, and he did -- never to be seen or heard from again... Even though he was in Harrison Co., OH, Stanton does not seem to fit, conclusively at least, with the Harrison Co.
