    2. David Busbee
    3. Richard, I have been watching and reading this interplay on Busbys. Its interesting but we spell our name Busbee. As in some of the previous messages, my grandfather, Cleve, was one of 12 children. We have old family names of Thomas, George, Joseph and John, and my brothers name is Richard. This is the first time I've posted a message and hope I don't violate some rules or the other. Below is a listing of the Busbees that I know of. The list starts in in South Carolina, goes to Georgia, then to Texas, then to Oklahoma. I'd be pleased to receive additional information from anyone. David L. My grandfather, Irwin Busby, lived just outside of Peterson, IA for many years. Peterson is located about 20 miles southwest of Spencer IA, or 35 miles southwest of Lake Okoboji, near the Iowa/Minnesota border. My dad, Richard Busby, graduated from Peterson High School in 1946 (I think that's the year; I may be off one year either way though). He had two sisters, Jean and Evelyn, and two brothers, Harold and Steve. My last name of Beck is an adopted one--my mother remarried when I was 11 years old and I was adopted by my stepfather. I was born Richard Drew Busby. Drew Beck, Madison, WI >>> "buzzard" <buzzard@taylortel.com> 06/21/99 06:28PM >>> Norma, My Busby family centered mostly in and around Fonda, Iowa for many years. Where in Iowa & Minn was your family? I find lots of info on southern Busbys but little or none on my family. Let me know if I can help.
