Good Morning Busby Rootsweb Members: I have had no luck in finding my Rebecca Busby. It's been some time since I've posted my last query, so I thought I would post my information again. Rebecca was born c. 1810-1825, unknown where. Between 1852 and 1855, she supposedly married William W. Groover. This may have been in Texas where William was living at the time or maybe in Ga where William was born. She was said to be the 2nd wife of William, so it is possible that Busby was not her maiden name. In 1855, she and William had a daughter named Martha Kyle "Mattie" Groover, born unknown location. Since Martha Kyle( "Mattie") married Thomas Charles Ramsey in Cotton Gin, Texas in Freestone County, it is likely that she was born in Tx. Sometime after 1855, William married a 3rd time and it is in this marriage that I think he married my unknown first name gg grandmother Banks. I do not know what had happened to my gg grandfather Banks by this time...divorce or death?? William brought "Mattie" with him into this marriage, (so my family history says,) so I don't know what had happened to Rebecca...again, divorce or death. I am unable to locate any marriage or death records for these people for more information about birth or marriage locations. Is there any one researching a Busby family that can make a connection for me? The Busby name may be spelled Busbee or in other ways. I've been looking for a long time; sure hope someone can help me. Thanks, Paula Dunklin
