Elizabeth, I'm interested in your Busby family as I'm looking for a Rebecca Busby and one of the names of your Busby ancestors is connected to my link. You say Martha Jane and Mary C. Busby were both married to Heards and came to Texas. Do you have approx. dates and locations for these two? I'm searching for a Rebecca Busby who supposedly married William W. Groover after his first wife, Elizabeth Bird Heard died. Elizabeth died in Texas in 1852 at Simsboro, Limestone or Freestone County, Tx. (I'm not sure which county Simsboro is in). I think this Rebecca Busby could have been a neighbor or a close friend of the Groover family there in TX and that she married William sometime after 1852 in Tx. I am not really sure if her maiden name was Busby or if she had been married to a Busby in the past. Do you have or know of a Rebecca Busby anywhere in you line? Please check and let me know.
