Hello everyone, I think a roll call is a good idea. I think I am a triple collateral Busby, I am descended from three different Busbee - Busby woman in the same area of Georgia in the mid 1820 time frame. The name of the little town was Busbyville, Ga. near the conjunction of Bibb, Crawford and Houston Counties. Charity Busby Schofield (b 1807, SC)was the daughter of William Reese Busby and Mary Winn. William Reese Busby came to Bibb Co, Ga by 1824. He was named in the will of Benjamin Busby of Orangeburgh District of SC. Benjamin was said to have come from Maryland to SC and several papers had him being at the age of 115 years old when he died. Lillie Busby Johnson (b circa1800, SC) is listed in family information as a Busby from Aiken, SC married John Johnson. Her husband bought land from the estate of William Reese Busby in conjunction with Nimrod Jackson married to Elizabeth Busby. No parents have been proved for Lillie Busby. Tempie Busby Howard (b 1794, SC) came to Houston Co by 1830. She married Michael Howard c 1821. She has sons named Tillman, Stancel, Wade Hampton and Richmond Hampton. There were other Busby families in the District (Captain Busby's District): Nathan, Jacob, Matthew, Allen and Daniel. William Reese was not too far away in Lower Bibb County. Elisha, Seaborn and Zachariah were also close by in Crawford County. This was a triangle of Busby farms. The spelling of the names is shown as Busby, Busbee, Buzbee, and Busbayville all refering to the same people. Any help connecting these Busbys would be a big help. Thanks Gaila
