    3. Seeking help with the following: Matthew Busby, born around 1780 in/around Amherst Co. VA (his parents were John Busby/Busbee and Margaret ??) Saluda Tinsley Busby, wife, born abt. 1787 VA. Matthew m. Saluda 2-04-1803 Children: Milton 1804 David T. 1807 Pauline M. 1812 Nancy T. 1815 Edward 1817 and possibly my gg gmother Matilda; Rebecca could have been her first or middle name, born 1818-1820's in Adair Co, KY. I am desperately trying to find documented proof that Matilda was a daughter of Matthew & Saluda. Every bit of information points directly at them but I can find no document to prove it. Information about the children listed above: Pauline married Spottsford D. Tucker. They had a daughter named Saluda Ann; David T. married Martha Sweeney in 1832; Nancy T. married William J. Drake; Milton (born 1804) married unknown; Edward never married. Believe Nancy and her husband William were the first to come to Texas. Milton, David T. (with his motherless children), Edward and, I firmly believe, my gg grandmother Matilda, left Ky and came to Tx about 1850/51. Settled in Falls County, TX and Freestone Co, TX. When did Matthew and Saluda leave VA and migrate to KY? Who did Milton marry? He was shown on Mercer Co, KY census in 1850 but I found no wife there, just my gg gmother Matilda and her daughter, Mary Margaret who was my great gmother. I've been told Milton's wife died in Freestone Co which would mean she also made the trip to Tx. Where are Matthew and his wife buried? Eternally grateful for even a sliver of information!
